Currently, HGL is currently seeking an experienced Senior Billing Accountant to join our accounting team in the Reston, VA Office.
The selected individual will work closely with HGL project and program managers, as well as the accounting, contracts and procurement staff to manage all aspects of billing for their assigned contracts.
A positive, well-organized, solution-oriented creative thinker will be a great addition to an awesome accounting team! The ideal candidate has federal government billing experience and will effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, be detail/compliance oriented, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and demonstrate complex problem-solving skills; he or she will be flexible and work well both independently and collaboratively within a strong team, in an exciting, fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
The Senior Accountant will have the primary responsibility of managing all aspects of billing for their assigned contracts. They will also collaborate with internal and external regarding billing issues.
The following skills are required for the position:
Our ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of billing experience in the government contracting industry.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred. We will consider the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
A pre-hire drug test is required. Some positions may require US Citizenship.
