Currently, HGL has a position open for a full-time Treatment Plant Operator 5 working working out of the Emmell’s and South Jersey Clothing Company Groundwater Treatment Plants in Galloway Township and Buena Borough, respectively. Travel between the two sites will be required on a weekly basis. Travel to other Ground Water Treatment Plants in New Jersey or adjacent states may be required on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities include performing groundwater treatment plant process sampling to meet NJDEP, RCRA, and CERCLA requirements at two treatment plants. Travel will be required between the Emmell’s and SJCC plants on a weekly basis. Sampling will be primarily of treatment plant process (water) samples but may include surface water, outfall, sediment, soil, and air (vapor). Duties include daily maintenance and repairs of groundwater treatment plant equipment, GAC, groundwater recovery systems, metals treatment systems, and oil/water separators.
Must have a minimum of 6 years of directly related work experience.
A pre-hire drug test is required. U.S. citizenship is required. Must have the ability to pass the facility background check.
