Description/Job Summary

HGL (HydroGeologic, Inc.), is a full-service environmental science, engineering, and construction firm with over 30 years of experience providing environmental restoration solutions to federal, state, local, and private sector clients. HGL is one of the few companies that remain committed to research and development, offering a dynamic work environment for creative, energetic professionals.  Currently, HGL has a position open for a Staff Geologist at the St. Louis FUSRAP Site in St. Louis, Missouri. 


The successful candidate will be responsible for: entry of analytical site data into RockWorks and ArcGIS software packages; and the review/interpretation of geological boring logs for input into RockWorks. The successful candidate will also work closely with the Database Manager and GIS Specialist to identify and import technical data.

Required Skills

Required skills include: must be able to execute multiple tasks concurrently; excellent communication and organization; working with and maintaining confidential information; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; working under detailed quality assurance/quality control programs.

Required Experience

4 or more years of experience performing the duties of a geologist supporting environmental/geologic projects is required.

Required Education

The Staff Geologist position requires a minimum of a BA/BS degree in a Geology or a related field plus 4 or more years of experience.


The successful candidate will be required to pass the installation security checks.
The position is based in St. Louis, MO and required US citizenship.
A pre-hire drug test and physical exam are required.
