Description/Job Summary

HGL (HydroGeoLogic, Inc.), is a full-service environmental science, engineering, and construction firm with over 30 years of experience providing environmental and energy solutions to federal, state, local, and private sector clients. Currently, HGL has an opening for an (entry-level) Assistant Research Analyst in our Phoenix, AZ office. You can be part of the exciting and fast paced environmental and energy solution world.

Responsibilities/Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting records management and community outreach contracts. The tasks involved include, but are not limited to:
  • Review of records
  • Online research
  • Analysis of research findings
  • Report preparation
  • Record coding and organization
  • Preparation for and participation in Community Outreach Events
Records management and community outreach will be conducted at locations nationwide and travel will be required.

 

Required Skills

Attributes of the successful candidate include:
  • Strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time to meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with managing, organizing, and cataloging physical and electronic records
  • High level of professionalism for client interaction
  • Experience conducting public involvement or community outreach activities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The nature of the work requires competency with MS Office, proficiency in MS Word, knowledge of Excel, Access, scanning equipment, and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with optical character recognition software, and records management databases is a plus, but not a deal breaker.
 

Required Experience

This is an entry level position and requires 0-2 years of directly related experience.

Required Education

The Assistant Research Analyst position requires a minimum of a BA or BS degree in a field that requires extensive research or communications skills such as Environmental Science, History, Anthropology, Political Science, or Communications. The degree needed may vary with each position based on client and contract specifications.

Details

A pre-hire drug test is required. Travel is routinely required. U.S. Citizen may be required based on specific contracts.
